Gardner Museum Offers Members Special Opportunities to Celebrate the Opening of the New Wing!
In January, Gardner Museum members will discover that the opening of the Renzo Piano-designed wing gives them new opportunities and benefits. In addition to all the extraordinary year-round benefits--unlimited complimentary admission to the Museum; invitations to members-only exhibit previews and special events; advance notice of, and discounts to, concerts and lecture programs; and a discount in the new Museum Shop--members are invited to participate in nearly a week of free and ticketed events to preview and celebrate the new Renzo Piano-designed wing.
The Friends of Fenway Court Patron Program is also being restructured, effective January 1, 2012. The Museum is adding and enhancing benefits for all levels of Patron members, to reflect our gratitude for their continued and critical support of our programs. For the first time in twelve years, rates at two of the levels are increasing - the $1,500 level to $2,000; and the $2,500 level to $3,000. Patrons who join or renew at these levels before December 31 can enjoy a year of new benefits at the old rates. "We know our Patrons will want to be a part of the special events and extraordinary programs in the new wing, and we truly appreciate their commitment to helping the museum fulfill its mission and reach its potential," says Maureen O’Brien, Annual Giving Manager. For more information on the new levels and benefits of Patron level membership, contact the Patron line at 617 391 3950.
On January 16, 17, and 18, all members are invited to attend Members-Only Preview Days to discover both the new wing and the restored historic building. On Tuesday, January 17, the Museum will host a Members Reception for members at all levels; two days before that, on Sunday, January 15, we will host a Member Reception for Patron level members and above. More information about these ticketed events will follow shortly!
Members will also be able to reserve complimentary timed tickets for regular admission that the Museum will issue from the opening weekend in January through the end of February. Starting October 15, members at any level can call the Box Office at 617 278 5156 to reserve their timed tickets.
