5:30pm - 9:30pm
Join us After Hours on the third Thursday of each month for a new kind of night out. Gardner After Hours is music, art, conversation, cocktails, and more in an inviting atmosphere.
Isabella Gardner’s palace takes on an otherworldly beauty after dark, when starry skies and moonlight contribute to its magic. Linger in the cloisters or around the courtyard, explore or sketch in the galleries, discover new exhibitions, revel in live music, sample the culinary fare in The Gardner Café. Cash bar but the atmosphere is on us.
Tonight: Rhythm Muse
Explore rhythms of all kinds--from Brazilian music in the courtyard to jazz in the Tapestry Room--and even the unique rhythms of the galleries, layered with works of art from many cultures.
With a special After Hours PLUS concert at 7pm: Jazz at the Gardner: Mark Whitfield Jr. Quartet
Courtyard Sounds: Brazilian music with Fernando Brandao, flute, and Sergio Brandao, guitar
After Hours Tickets: FREE Members; $12 General Public; $10 Seniors; $5 Students
Advance tickets are now sold out. Additional After Hours tickets will be available at the door (while they last).
We hate to say goodbye (even temporarily!), but Gardner After Hours is taking a brief hiatus for 2011 as the museum prepares for the opening of its new Renzo Piano-designed wing in early 2012. Join us this fall to send After Hours off in style!
